Sounds a lot like the BT Openzone network for people with BT as their ISP.

Am I missing something here?
Most wireless Internet users spend a lot of effort in preventing others from using their connection. This thing seems to just open your address to anyone who wants to it. Wouldn't the same effect be achieved by merely removing the security codes on the system you already have?
