Hi,
I just bought a plug and play webcam, I am trying to fix it with my system but even after detection system shows incompatible issue. Its a plug and play device I don't have any software with it, what to do in that case? -------------------- Marketing executive in Commercial advertising links deleted - as contrary to Forum Rules

Check device manager by going to Start > Run > type DEVMGMT.MSC and press enter, look for a webcam device and see if there are any yellow exclamation marks or red question marks, if there is either, right click and go to Properties.
Check the manufacturer's website to see if there are compatibility issues with your OS or others. Check the manufacturer's website to see if there are any drivers which can be used to help the OS detecting your webcam and getting it to work properly. What operating system are you using and the manufacturer and model name of your webcam? I think, usually you will find that plug 'n' play devices are only plug 'n' play because they work on the drivers of the operating systems stated on the box. Check your operating system is mentioned on the box too. This post has been edited by Hb_Kai: Nov 5 2009, 11:42 -------------------- See above for my post... Vista is the begining of the END.
