Here is a nice new bit of software from the makers off CCleaner called speccy

Speccy is an advanced System Information tool for your PC. We're still bug fixing, but have just released a Public BETA version for you to download!

For some reason it does not detect my ATI 4890 but it is still in beta :)

Intel I5 750 (Quad Core CPU)
Corsair XMS3 4GB DDR3 Ram (1600mhz)

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Pat, I already have the 1.03 version installed.

What method of updating do you use?
Other than installing over the top or remove and install, there doesn't appear to be an 'update' option. :unsure:

Irene, same as with CCleaner - uninstalling over the current installation is best, as it will keep any options or preferences.

I used Speccy like a bible when I got this lappy.Along with a PDF version of the complete service manual.

Quote accurate and quick refference tool.

On the Piriform website, the 'builds' download page usually offers four different builds:
  • the standard installer (comes bundled with optional promotional software)
  • the portable software (no installer)
  • the portableU3 software
  • the 'slim' installer (not bundled with promotional software)
These various builds are not usually all made available on the release day; only the standard installer is. You will usually have to wait a few days until all builds are available on the download page.
